Jupyter notebook to Markdown
Convert .ipynb notebooks into a single Markdown file: Markdown cells as they are, code cells as fenced blocks in the notebook's language, and text outputs right below the code that produced them.
- IPYNB to MD
- Code language kept
- Outputs included
- No Python needed
Web pages are reduced to the main article: menus, cookie banners and footers are removed. Public Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Dropbox and GitHub links work too.
What the notebook converter keeps
- Markdown cells: unchanged.
- Code cells: fenced with the kernel's language (Python, R, Julia...).
- Outputs: text and stream outputs as
textblocks under each cell. - Order: cells stay in notebook order.
Example output
A notebook with a Markdown cell, a code cell and its output:
# Analysis
Load the data.
```python
import math
print(math.pi)
```
```text
3.141592653589793
```How to convert Jupyter notebook to Markdown
