Privacy
Short version: your files are converted and then forgotten. No accounts, no tracking cookies, no training.
Files and URLs you convert
- Files are processed in the server's memory. OCR uses temporary folders that are deleted right after the conversion.
- Files are never written to permanent storage, shared with anyone, or used to train AI models.
- To make repeated conversions fast, the converted Markdown is kept in memory for up to 30 minutes (5 minutes for URLs), keyed by a fingerprint of the file. It is then discarded. A server restart clears it immediately.
- File contents are not written to logs. Logs record technical data only: time, format, size, page count, duration and the IP address, for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- When you convert a URL, the server downloads that public address on your behalf. Private and local network addresses are blocked.
Markdown to PDF and the token counter
The Markdown to PDF tool runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded. The token counter sends your text to the server to count it and does not keep it.
